2010 Countdown

I’m sad to see this year go, it’s been a great one for me…To celebrate and recap I’ve made a countdown of 10 things that happened in o-ten. These aren’t necessarily a countdown to number one being the best, it’s more of by the numbers. That said, number one is pretty great.

  • 10. Floor that I’ve spent most of this year working on. That may change next year as there is talk that I’ll be working from home, which I’m pretty excited about.
  • 9. States visited: NC, SC, OR, WA, LA, CA, VA, PA, NJ
  • 8. Weddings attended, which is a coupleĀ  less than what I was invited to. It’s amazing how the flow of weddings doesn’t seem to stop. I do like weddings and enjoy nothing more than celebrating exciting moments with my friends. With that caveat, I’m not going to lie: when wedding season was over this year, I was so relieved.
  • 7. People I can think of off the top of my head who got pregnant this year and are due in 2011. Watch out world, lots of cute children coming your way.
  • 6. Number of months I made it blogging about all of my friends’ birthdays before getting completely overwhelmed and giving up. But, being afraid to admit defeat, I nearly stopped blogging altogether. I’ll try to pick it back up next summer…sorry if you got gypped this year.
  • 5. Races participated in – a new personal high. Three running races and two triathlons. Big plans for next year: more triathlons and biking across Iowa, I hope!
  • 4. Countries visited: England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland.
  • 3. New year’s resolution to start 2011 with: (1) Start volunteering regularly somewhere (2) Call at least one friend once a week – this is to make up for letting Facebook do the work of keeping up with my friends this year and (3) Get some things published.
  • 2. Jobs (I did not really like) quit.
  • 1. Years spent with this guy.

Bring it on 2011, you’ve got big shoes to fill!
